Evidence-Based Education

Big Ideas with a Real Impact.

Ballet as Living History

  • Royal Courts and Revolution: Students trace the origins of ballet in European royal courts, learning how absolute monarchy shaped strict physical discipline, spatial geometry, and social hierarchy.

  • Geopolitical Shifts: Training reflects how the art form moved from France to Russia, absorbing romantic nationalism and later Soviet athleticism, mirroring the political tensions of those eras.

  • Embodied Eras: Every plié and allegro carries the aesthetic ideals, music, and philosophy of the time in which it grew.

Diplomacy Through Movement

  • Universal Language: Dance bypasses spoken barriers, allowing artists to communicate complex human emotions and historical narratives across national divides.

  • Empathy and Grace: Rigorous mentorship teaches students to listen, adapt, and harmonize within an ensemble, mirroring the core principles of peaceful international negotiation.

  • Cultural Reverence: By mastering diverse choreographic styles, scholars respect the heritage and traditions of the countries that birthed them.

The Next Generation: Artistic Leadership from Global Scholars

  • Global Citizens: Graduates leave as disciplined artists who view international relations not as a distant theory, but as a lived physical practice.

  • Connected Differences: They use their dual foundation in art and diplomacy to unite people, honor global communities, and foster peace

At ABP-IDP, we use tools such as Model UN to make them ethical, intentional, and educated on the most important global matters, so they can be fully present in their lived experience.
